As Harley riders and fun seekers know, the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is the world’s largest such event, packed with entertainment, parties, live concerts, and of course, motorcycles. So get your engine running - it’s the 76th annual for this event, which brings in crowds of around 700,000 every year.

Motorcycle Magic
For motorcycle riders and fans, there are several don’t-miss activities. A visit to the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum and Hall of Fame offers an excellent look at both biking memorabilia and vintage bikes, as well as the overall motorcycle community.
Then you’ll really get revved up for the Rally Races, which is where the Sturgis Rally began. Choose from watching - or participating - in races of all kinds, from Moto-X to Pro-AM.
Cycle in Some Entertainment
Whether you’re most interested in shopping, stopping for a cold brew or a buffalo burger, Main Street is the place to eat, drink, buy, and just plain make merry. And speaking of music and fun, the Buffalo Chip Campground is the place to find everything from a roller derby to a bike show, not to mention a robust series of live musical performances, and a spot for campers to splash down in an enormous swimming pool. Check Out the Scenery
There are plenty of sights to see and natural beauty all around Sturgis, so if you need to head out for a ride yourself, or just take a break from all the wild fun, you won’t want to miss the Mount Rushmore National Memorial, the old west town of Keystone nearby, the
Crazy Horse Memorial is another awesome site, the world’s largest mountain carving is still in progress, but that doesn’t make it any less impressive.
Visiting Deadwood is another adventure, from its Gold Rush-era streets to gambling in the afternoon, there’s lady luck in the air.
You’ll experience a different kind of luck altogether with a visit to Badlands National Park and its Scenic Byway. The ride is packed with stunningly beautiful and unusual formations of buttes and canyons, plus towering spires and plenty of wide open spaces to explore. You’re lucky indeed to experience some of the park’s 244,000 untouched acres.
